- It's 500 grams of Mustard leaves(sarson).
- It's 250 grams of Spinach(palak).
- Prepare 250 grams of bathua leaves (optional).
- You need 2 tablespoon of corn meal (makki ka atta).
- You need 2 inch of ginger (adrak).
- You need 4-5 of garlic cloves (lehsan).
- You need 2-3 of green chillies.
- You need 1 tablespoon of kasuri methi.
- You need 1 tsp of Red chilli flakes.
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of Haldi.
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of asafoetida(hing).
- You need 2 tablespoon of ghee or oil.
- It's to taste of Salt.
- It's of Cream or butter for seasoning.

- Clean all the greens thoroughly and chop the leaves coarsely. Bathua saag is optional, if it is not available you can use spinach instead.
- In a pan or kadhai, boil 2 cups of water and add all the greens. You can add or reduce quantity of water as you like..
- Add salt and haldi andlet the saag cook on medium heat. If you like it coarse, mash it with masher or you can also use blender to make a smooth paste..
- Add corn meal or makki ki atta, green chillies and remaining salt in the saag and let it cook on low flame..
- In a separate pan, heat ghee and add crushed garlic, grated ginger and red chilli flakes and methi. Pour this mix over saag and cook for 3-4 minutes. Saag is ready..
- Serve with butter and Makki ki roti..Enjoyππ΅π°ππ΅π°.
